Animal rescuer Shen Qing follows an anonymous clue into the deep mountains to track down a dying deer, and meets Lu Ye, a mysterious reclusive painter, by a clear stream. A strange disappearance case in the town three years ago is closely related to this deer—it is the only "silent witness" back then. The two spend their days by the stream, seemingly living a healing life in the mountains, but secrets are hidden beneath the surface; as the truth gradually comes to light, dusty mysteries and lurking crises follow. Only by protecting the deer can they unlock the answers buried by time.
