Unemployed designer Lin Mo returns to his rural hometown after suffering unemployment and heartbreak. While helping his grandma weave bamboo baskets, he discovers the unique charm of traditional bamboo craftsmanship. Using his design skills, he transforms rustic bamboo weaves into elegant high-end works, but is mocked by villagers: “those old baskets can’t make money”. A chance encounter with a foreign buyer changes everything—his bamboo works become global high-end hits. He leads villagers to reform bamboo techniques, turning the local craft into a world-famous brand, achieving a personal comeback and lifting the whole village out of poverty.
