Five-year-old Fortuna accidentally travels back to 1970s China to fulfill her dying mother's wish of seeing her own grandmother. Armed with wit and sass, she takes down greedy relatives eyeing family property, outsmarts her scheming uncle coveting her grandmother's ancestral home, and plays matchmaker between her proud military grandfather and young grandmother. When Fortuna returns to the present with pockets full of wedding candy, she's stunned to see her rejuvenated grandmother waving alongside her healed mother at the民政局门口. ‘Darling,’ they tease, ‘now it's your turn to register your marriage!’
