Deaf-mute mother Lin Xiufang raises piano prodigy daughter Xiaoyu by collecting scraps. When Xiaoyu qualifies for an international competition but wants to quit due to financial constraints, Lin works three jobs day and night to raise the funds. But a car accident erases her memory on the way to deliver the money.
