Su Zhaoning, the legitimate daughter of the General's Mansion, learned the guqin from her mother since childhood. But after her mother's early death, her stepmother framed her—destroying her right hand for playing the guqin—and her stepsister stole her engagement to the Crown Prince, making her a "useless person" in the capital. For three years, she secretly practiced the ancient score "Hundred Birds Singing" left by her mother using a prosthetic hand. Finally, at the Empress Dowager's birthday banquet, her melody attracted hundreds of birds to fly together, exposing her stepsister's fake performance and uncovering the truth of her mother's wrongful death: hidden in the tune was a blood letter left by her mother. As her guqin sound pierces through the conspiracy, those who humiliated her will pay for their sins. She finally counterattacks from a "useless person" to the most dazzling legitimate daughter in the capital, regaining her dignity and love.
