The Heaven Court disguises the journey to the West as a major recruitment project to meet its KPI. Favored immortals' mounts and attendants go down to earth to “polish their resumes”, while lowly demons without background are treated as cannon fodder. Refusing to be a tool, she teams up with other wronged demons, exposes the hidden rules during the 81 trials, becomes an official member of the pilgrimage team, uncovers Heaven's shocking conspiracy, and rewrites the fate of all demons.
