In a millennium-era Northeast Chinese town, a shabby internet cafe called "Speed Star" hides in an alley where the temperature drops to minus 30 degrees. Lin Hao, the 20-year-old network administrator, is a straightforward guy—he can talk the talk and fight the fight, always carrying cold noodles in his pocket. One late night, while fixing a computer, he accidentally triggers the "Internet Cafe System" hidden in an old hard drive: every satisfied customer unlocks a new superpower! But before he can enjoy this, "Brother Dao," the local gang leader who controls the vegetable market, shows up to collect protection money—threatening to destroy the cafe and turn it into a warehouse. Lin Hao uses "light-speed boot-up" and "zero-lag buff" to keep his regulars, while secretly practicing the "Iron Fist Technique" from the system. To his shock, he discovers Brother Dao is backed by an evil Taoist who raises ghosts! Will he protect the internet cafe he grew up with, or cowardly flee back to the countryside? The passion of a Northeast guy is about to burn fiercely in the snow...
