College graduate Lin Yang works as a helper in an old alleyway braised food shop to take care of his seriously ill younger sister, living a tight life. One day, he secretly adds a braised egg to his sister's bowl and unexpectedly triggers the 'Shock and Admiration System'—as long as he makes others feel shocked or admired, he can get rewards like cash, skills, or even connections! Just when the braised food shop is about to be closed down by a rich second-generation young master, Lin Yang uses the 'Imperial Braised Recipe' unlocked by the system to make braised food that makes old customers cry out 'the taste of grandpa', not only saving the shop but also attracting the attention of food blogger Su Xiao. But as the system upgrades, Lin Yang finds that to get higher-level rewards, he has to face bigger challenges—like making people who once looked down on him kneel down in admiration? And is Su Xiao approaching him really because she likes food, or does she have another purpose?
