Lin Yang, a descendant of a hermit divine doctor, returns home after military service to care for his critically ill grandmother. However, he uncovers that village doctor Zhou Degui colludes with medicinal merchants to monopolize medical resources—villagers can’t afford medicine and wait to die, even a pregnant woman in labor is refused treatment. Lin saves the village secretary from a sudden heart attack with his ancestral acupuncture, only to be framed by Zhou for “illegal practice” and have his medicine chest smashed by thugs. At the critical moment, Lin takes out the national medical certification hidden in an old wooden box. He not only exposes Zhou’s fake medicine scam but also leads villagers to grow valuable herbs to escape poverty, and even wins the heart of village beauty Su Xiaorou—when the rural guy reveals his “supreme divine doctor” cards, those who trampled him will eventually kneel before him begging for medicine!
