Lin Chuan, an urban loser obsessed with shuttlecock kicking, was a laughingstock in the neighborhood. Even his girlfriend Su Xiaoyu's parents pressured her to break up: 'Can kicking shuttlecocks feed you? Leave him now!' But Lin Chuan refused to back down—he stayed up late practicing tricky moves, promoted the 'old game' across communities, and even sold his cherished figurines to raise competition fees. Xiaoyu went from secretly hiding his entry forms to openly defying her parents: 'I believe he'll make it!' They supported each other through all the mockery. Unexpectedly, 5 years later, shuttlecock kicking became a new Olympic event. Lin Chuan not only won the first gold medal but also built the 'Jianchao' brand into a fortune, turning from a pariah to an 'Olympic tycoon'. When he held the gold medal and shouted to the camera, 'Xiaoyu, you didn't wait in vain,' all the past doubts became the sweetest 'slap in the face' for their love.
