Gu Shen (played by Lu Huanyu), a business tycoon, regains past-life memories after a car accident—he was a border general in his previous life, who promised to marry his lover Su Wan (played by Hu Dongqing) after victory, but died in battle. In this life, Su Wan is a small designer bullied at work, who just lost her job and bumps into Gu Shen's arms. Gu Shen is convinced she's his past-life love and tries everything to get close, but Su Wan mistakes his "overenthusiasm" for a perverted pickup. Until Gu Shen takes out the jade hairpin from their past life, Su Wan's dreams suddenly show the ancient barracks' bonfire and the general's blood-stained robe—Is their reunion a thousand-year obsession, or a continuation of fate?
