Yin Sisi, a hidden Taoist heir, descends the mountain to fulfill his family's mission, only to be labeled "feudal superstitious" by Xia Zijuan, a rational career woman, for his "talismans and exorcisms". But when Xia's investigation into a haunted office building hits a dead end, Yin uses Taoism to uncover the killer hidden in the walls; in a missing child case, his "soul-seeking technique" leads Xia to crucial clues—each "superstitious act" shatters Xia's scientific beliefs. Meanwhile, Yin's loneliness (being the last of his family) quietly touches her heart. From bitter rivals to puzzle-solving partners, when a conspiracy of evil cultivators resurfaces, Xia must choose: trust reason, or trust the "superstitious" man who'd risk everything to protect her?
