A young couple laid off due to industry downturn, pressed by rent and their child's tuition, frantically search for valuables at home. They accidentally find a bag of aged coarse grains left by their elders, planning to sell it for daily expenses. However, when washing, they discover a long-lost farm pickles recipe hidden inside. The husband initially dismisses it as useless, but the wife insists on researching. From bickering to working as a team, they refine the recipe with coarse grains, avoid malicious trademark infringements from peers, and eventually turn their small workshop into a famous local intangible cultural heritage pickle brand, rewriting their fate with a bag of coarse grains.
