Yang Lin, a tough career woman in 2023, suddenly travels back to a 1985 state-owned factory dormitory while driving her Benz to a client meeting. Her Benz becomes a “rare curiosity” in the neighborhood—even Aunt Wang from the committee suspects it’s a “capitalist remnant.” To survive, she uses modern marketing tactics to help her father’s soy sauce factory sell unsold stock, only to catch her young mother arguing for a divorce from her father.
