Down-and-out screenwriter Yu Xinyi mistakes Gu Xingye, a restaurant worker, for investor "Mr. Lu" while negotiating a film copyright. She tries hard to please him but makes endless jokes—mistaking his work apron for a custom suit, calling his dish-carrying a "project inspection." When the truth comes out, she's so embarrassed she wants to vanish, but Gu Xingye falls for her sincerity and helps her secure the copyright. Just as they develop feelings through the misunderstanding, the real Mr. Lu appears and tries to poach Gu Xingye. Where will this "mistaken" love go?
