Shen Yuheng, the new top scholar of the dynasty, is actually the young master of the hermit medical sect 'Taiyi Xuan' and masters the lost Taiyi Golden Needle technique. He originally wanted to hide his medical skills to be an idle civil official, but he saved Su Wan, the prime minister's daughter who was poisoned by a strange toxin, with the golden needle when he saw injustice. This rescue not only made them a bickering couple who quarrel whenever they meet, but also involved him in a conspiracy against Taiyi Xuan—someone wants to steal the Taiyi Golden Needle secret manual and frame the Shen family for colluding with enemies. Shen Yuheng has to show his sharpness: he uses the golden needle to cure the emperor's strange illness and shock him, uses his medical skills to solve serial poison cases and find the mastermind, while bickering with Su Wan to dismantle conspiracies and guard the sect's inheritance. The top scholar's uninhibited life is writing justice with his pen and saving all beings with his golden needle!
