Lin Wan has guarded the "Guiqi" (Return Date) Teahouse in the old alley for ten years, waiting for her missing boyfriend Gu Zhao—who said he'd go to the distant mountains to find her grandmother's relic but never came back. Every year on Gu Zhao's birthday, she warms his favorite Biluochun tea and places that chipped celadon cup. Until a rainy dusk, a man with the same old silver bracelet pushes the door open, his voice exactly like Gu Zhao's: "Wanwan, I'm back." But when she touches the fresh scar on his wrist, she realizes this is Gu Ming, Gu Zhao's twin brother—Gu Zhao saved her from a cliff fall years ago, using his body to block falling rocks. On his deathbed, he clutched the silver bracelet and told Gu Ming, "Go back for me, tell her I wasn't late." Holding the blood-stained silver bracelet, Lin Wan finally understands: in her ten years of waiting, there was a deep love that could never be told face to face.
