Shen Xiao, the newly appointed top scholar, is not from a scholarly family, but a bandit leader who grew up in a deep mountain bandit lair. Entering the imperial court with his bandit spirit and straightforward style, he uses the bandit logic of 'fair distribution' and 'robbing the rich to help the poor' to rectify corrupt officialdom. He even dares to pull the incognito imperial prince to 'climb over walls to rob corrupt officials' granaries'. His arrival completely disrupts the old rules of the corrupt court and alarms various forces, but amid absurd funny plots, he unexpectedly stirs up the undercurrent of imperial power transition.
