While grappling with their past wounds, they survive with the "simplest" methods: fixing appliances for elderly residents in exchange for rent, using livestreams to promote community aunts’ handmade soap, and even turning the store into a "temporary charging station" for late-night commuters. When the store’s window is covered with customers’ handwritten "thank you" notes, they realize: the so-called "new modern" is just ordinary people enduring hard times to make sweetness, then sharing that sweetness with others.
