Su Wan, a wandering healer, infiltrates Regent Xiao Jue's residence disguised as a dancer to investigate her family's massacre. Her target is the "Drunken Immortal Brew"—rumored to be the antidote to the poison used in the tragedy. She slips Xiao Jue a "Heart-Enchanting Powder" to extract information while he's disoriented, only to find he's been one step ahead, playing along.
