"The Fruit of Desire" is a short drama collection linking multiple parallel worlds, centered around a mysterious fruit that "grants any wish" — Lin Xiaoman, an urban office worker, is reborn and obtains the fruit, wanting to take revenge and turn her life around, only to discover that the fruit requires "exchanging the most precious thing"; Su Wan, a princess of a fallen ancient kingdom, uses the fruit to meet Gu Heng, a general from the enemy country, but their sweet daily life hides a curse: "the fruit will devour the lover's memories"; Chen Mo, a passionate firefighter, gets the fruit to save his fallen comrade, but is faced with the dilemma: "going back to the past means losing his current family". In each story, the "Fruit of Desire" is both an outlet for desire and a mirror of human nature — when you exchange your most precious thing for "what you want", do you gain or lose?
