Lin Xiaoman, a vintage restorer who uncovers stories behind old items, receives a rusted iron box one day—inside are faded letters from Chen Mo, her first love who disappeared a decade ago. As she repairs the letters, she learns the truth: Chen Mo didn’t leave because he stopped loving her—he had leukemia and vanished to spare her pain. The last letter reads, "I hoped you’d remember our love like a breeze over water, but I’ve hidden ten years of longing in every crease of these pages." When Xiaoman tracks the return address to a hospital, she finds Chen Mo in bed, holding an unfinished letter: "I’ve been watching you from downstairs every day… Now I’m dying, so I dare to tell you—I never let go."
