Famed war god Xiao Ce is betrayed by his trusted confidant and pushed off a cliff, left for dead in the plague-stricken Corpse Rot Village. But he survives and uncovers a deadly court conspiracy—his fall is just part of the plot, and his entire family has been massacred. Though his martial arts are crippled at first, he slowly regains his strength, stands his ground in the deadly village with a broken sword, uncovers the truth step by step, then storms back to the imperial court alone, crushes the enemy nation with his sword, avenges his family, and reclaims his peak as the war god.
