Su Wan is a wetland guardian devoted to protecting migratory birds, and Gu Heng is an aviation engineer tasked with advancing airport expansion—they are the childhood sweethearts who once promised to "watch the migratory birds return north together." Upon reunion, she fights to save the birds' last habitat, while he struggles to complete the route optimization project; their old promise has become a present-day conflict. On the day excavators roll into the wetland, Su Wan stands in front of the machines holding a bird's egg, and Gu Heng's hand trembles as he clutches the blueprint—will they protect their respective "birds," or reclaim the "reunion" that belongs to them?
